the moon shown bright as five helpless kit were born. They would grow up to be strong and healthy. A horrible screech came out of the sandy clearing were the kits where being born. "Fog!" a cat from the shadows exclaimed. The cat rushed over to Fog were she lay helpless as the life was drained out of her. "Fog my darling" the cat whispered "Don't leave me know." Fog weakly smiled at him. "I must Shadow it's my time." She looked at the five helpless kit laying next to her She licked one each one on the head. "Good bye my darlings."She weakly purred and then her last life gave away. Shadow nuged her helplesly He let out a long howl that was heared for miles.

"Dovekit!" someone was nudging her. "Are you going to sleep the day away?!?" "No" she replied groggily. Reluctantly she got up out of her soft feather lined nest. Pebblekit was sitting next to her. "Why did you have to get me up?" she complained "One becuase its almost sunhigh two Lionstar just called a naming ceremony" Pebblekit said in her bossy tone. Dovekit streched her leg. "I'm coming Pebblekit." Dovekit walked outside the sun shined down on her light gray coat."Good morning Dovekit" Fernwhisper meowed. "Good morning" she grunted, and turned herself to the meeting wondering who it could be."Sunkit from this day on you shall be known as Sunpaw your mentor will be Shadowtail. She thought she heard a groan come from Sunpaw. Sunpaw leaned forward to touch noses with Shadowtail. Lionstar jumped down from the Tallrock. She realized she most of missed Emberpaws naming. She raced over to congratulate her old denmates. "Congratulation Sunpaw." He purred "thanks Dovekit." "You to Emberpaw" She meowed something but Dovekit missed it.
