A beautiful orange tabby she cat limped onto fieldlan territory. Just behind her, four small kits followed. Her fur was wild and unkept, and her ribs were protruding, and her green eyes were exhausted, she looked up at the dark, night sky and rounded her kits up. she wrapped her tail around them and stayed awake on look out as her kits peacefully slept. She had four kits, one was the exact image of her, but had fierce amber eyes, the other was a white cat with a black tail and black muzzle, but had the same, beautiful green eyes. the two last ones were also orange tabbies but had black on the tips of their ears and tail. they purred while their mother groomed their fur and soon enough, they were sound a sleep, and the mother was left to listen to the sounds of the forest at night. As she was lying her head down over the black and white kit she heard a twig snap behind her........
